With over 50 places to
eat and drink you will be spoilt for choice. One of our favourites is Onkel
Tom's Pizza Hut which is located in a traditional little chalet on the main
street, they serve the best pizzas you'll have tasted and have an impressive
wine list. C&M cafe is relaxed an informal with great views from the
terrace, they serve light dishes and the very best apple strudel. Memory in the
Hotel Eiger is also informal, they do traditional fondues and rosti. For
something more upmarket the restaurant in the Fiescherblick Hotel has a Gault
Millau rating and there is the superb restaurant in the Belvedere Hotel.
In winter you can enjoy some of the temporary bars along the street
which play live music and serve up gluhwine. These are in addition to the many
lively bars in the hotels, one of the best being in Hotel Eiger called Barry's
bar. There are even two nightclubs in town. The bars and restaurants in the
mountains are always lively and serve up hearty meals.
There are two
supermarkets in town for all your grocery needs as well as independent butchers
and bakeries. |
